Wilma Rudolph

"Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this Nation, the potential for greatness lives within us."

Our class is doing a project for Women's History Month. We had to pick a woman to do our project on and I chose the amazing, confident, inspiring, Wilma Rudolph.

The reason I chose Wilma Rudolph was because she is an amazing and confident woman that had Polio as a child and still set the record for women's Track and Field in the Olympics even with a sprained ankle.

Wilma Rudolph is most remembered for winning 3 gold medals in the Olympics while she used to have Polio as a child and a sprained ankle just before the race.
